Book 1: Maybe Next Time
Rating: 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
After going through a tragedy together Denver and Kensa start having problems in their marriage and Kensa thinks the only way to solve these problems is by getting a divorce. Denver on the other hand doesn’t want to lose his wife of 7 years so he does what he has to do to make sure this divorce doesn’t happen.
Listen I knew when I saw the cover that Denver was going to be added to my book bae list because I mean look at him looking all rugged and sexy, well after reading the first chapter I knew I was right. Denver gave me all the same bad boy vibes that my all time favorite Kingston gave me and then I read about his connection to King and it all made sense. I loved his aggressive we are about to work this out now approach.
Kensa’s struggles tugged at my heartstrings because it was so relatable and it was hard not to sympathize with her behavior towards Denver. I liked Denver from the very first chapter but then again I am a woman who doesn’t mind a man putting his foot down when its necessary and in this case it was necessary. The very first chapter had me hooked and I didn’t put the book down until I was finished. Their marital issues could have been solved with communication but it’s easy to lose sight of what is needed to hold your marriage together when you both are dealing with a tragedy in different ways.
CCJ has a way of pulling you into a story and holding your full attention until the story is complete, and even when your finished reading you have to sit and think about it for a minute because she just knows how to leave an impression on her readers after every read. This was a short read but I don’t feel like there was anything missing, sis gave us a quick but thorough backstory on Kensa and Denver’s marriage so I don’t feel like I was left without the full picture of their story. Now of course I want more of them but that’s because sis made me just love this couple so I could read about them all day but the story was complete so I will let it go. If you are looking for a quick read about a couple trying to save their marriage this is the one fo you.
Book 2: Maybe This Time

Trace and Des have been best friends since they friend zoned each other in college. As the years go by life keeps them in that mindset until one drunkin night something happens and they end up exchanging vows.
Listen this Vegas Nights series is fire but honestly CCJ has NEVER and I do mean never disappointed me. Denver will always be my favorite of this series because like I said in many reviews I love a street dude who plays no games but Trace is bae to. We knew from Maybe Next Time that Trace was in love with Des but honey I didn’t expect this storyline. Trace gave Des that ring and sis was no fool she didn’t take it off no matter how much she tried to fight their relationship. Trace was not taking the lets go back to friends act, bro was all in or nothing at all but he wasn’t forceful and I loved it. I was happy Des finally found love, we read about Des throughout CCJ’s catalog giving others relationship, career, and other personal advice so I was happy sis got her happy ending too.
Book 3: Maybe One More Time

Nessa is the wildest of the triplets whose been crushing on biker gang leader Blue, she has managed to keep her distance from him but once he starts pursuing her she can’t resist.
Listen I was not at all ready for Blue damnnnn. I mean Denver had me swooning and I just knew he would take the book bae title in this series but then CCJ gave us Blue and OMIGOD!!!! Y’all know I love me a bad boy and Blue was definitely that. Blue was demanding but it wasn’t forceful and Nessa didn’t give in easily, but she knew better and gave in eventually and shit so would I for Blue. The sex y’all is so hot lawd it made me want to try a few of this kinky shit. I have never read a CCJ book I didn’t enjoy sis gives us fire EVERY SINGLE TIME and there was no exceptions on this series. I won’t lie I would love some more of Blue and Nessa, the story was complete but I still want more just because I loved them lol.
This was a great series that followed triplets Kensa, Trace, and Nessa.
