Keristen hasn’t been back to her hometown since she graduated high school, when she left she never wanted to see the people that tormented her again. Keristen lets her best friend Quinn talk her into attending the class reunion so she can show everyone how successful she has become but Keristen is terrified to see her high school crush Carter. Carter left Keristen heartbroken in high school and has been holding onto his guilt since. All Carter wants is the chance to make it right with Keristen.
Quinn knows how to cover up her pain and fake it till she makes it and thats exactly how she plans to get through her high school reunion, only problem is her other best friend Ezra can see right through her. Ezra is not only determined to get Quinn to be honest about whats going on but he is finally ready to tell Quinn how he feels about her.
This was a super quick read that gives us an intro to the couples backstory. It gives us one weekend during their class reunion as the couples begin their healing from past wounds. This was a great start to the series.

After Carter and Keristen spend a night together at their high school reunion they can’t seem to stop thinking about each other. Keristen has been traumatized from being bullied all through high school now as an adult she is dealing with a lot of insecurities and anxiety causing her to be guarded and not let anyone in. After Carter stood Keristen up in high school she finds it hard to trust him and let him in again, but after Carter experienced Keristen at the reunion he cant bear to loss her again.
Y’all Carter was not letting Keristen get away again. The way Carter chased her down had me like “If my man don’t go after me like that I don’t want him” lol. I mean this man wore sis down, she had no choice but to let him back into her heart. Carter is definitely bae.
I loved Keristen’s storyline and how she overcame bullying and became a successful woman in spite of everything she went through. Sis didn’t let her anxiety run her, she dealt with it in her own way. Keristen did not play at all about her bestie Quinn sis hoped over a dang on table to get to someone going after Q.
This was my second Cassandra B read and I really enjoyed her writing style. I loved the bond she created between the friends and her romance was steamy. I will be checking out her catalog soon.

Quinn’s high school reunion was suppose to be a nice getaway from the drama in her life but the dynamic of her friendship with Ezra starts to change. After Quinn suffers a major loss she pushes the people who love her the most away and goes into hiding. Determined to get her life back on track Quinn makes a plan to pull herself out of her depression. Meanwhile Patrick is determined to get his wife back by any means necessary but as secrets get exposed his chances of getting Quinn back are looking slim. Ezra never thought he would get Quinn only to lose her so quickly. Now that Ezra is forced to move on he finds a new lady but the love he has for Quinn cant be replaced and fate brings former best friends back together.
Poor Quinn went through so much in this book. Her piece of shit husband Patrick wanted his wife back but also wanted his side chicks, buddy was doing Quinn so wrong that I didn’t feel an ounce of remorse for him when that karma hit him. Quinn gave up her life for that bum so I was happy to see her get exactly what she wanted in life. Glad she came to her senses and got her best friend and man back. Ezra tried to give Quinn up and be what Ava needed but he just couldn’t let Quinn go.
Skye moon is always giving us a great story with amazing friendships, I have not been disappointed with a Skye moon read yet.
